Cannot move LG Phone Pics to My Pictures (Windows XP)
2 Answers
Hi..... after many months of trying different cables and procedures, more by luck than judgement, we have now managed to upload over 150 pics from my fellas LG KG225 phone to our PC (LG Contents Bank).
However, the problem now is that it doesn't allow us to 'do' anything to them, edit, print, slideshow, delete etc., so what we want to do is transfer them into 'My Pictures' (our main picture library) but unfortunately the program it is in doesn't allow you to do any of this. I've tried simply dragging and dropping but that doesn't work.
Is there any other method by which I can do this (simple laymans terms please)?

Maybe the program that is used to work on them somehome has a "lock" on them to stop you working with them.
Or maybe Windows thinks they are system files so cannot be moved (not sure WHY Windows should think that but cannot think of anything else).
Have you tried COPYING them (rather than MOVING them) as I think that should work.
Open the folder they are in, RIGHT click on a single picture, then from the menu chose COPY. Go to the folder where you want to put it, select on a blank space, then RIGHT click and from the menu chose PASTE.
If that works on a single picture go back and try it on the lot (use SELECT ALL from the EDIT menu to select them all)

Thanks vehelpful guy for responding.
Right - I've tried right clicking on the actual photo - nothing.
R/C on a single photo on the written list and the only option you get is: Properties.
The LG Contents Bank is very simple with just 3 cartoon icons, one with music notes, the other with a camera and the 3rd with an artistes palette. Now I assume, if working correctly the palette is an editing feature but when I click on this I get this message:
Other application used this port. Failed to open - 1341125106
Goodness knows what that means??!!
Along the top there is the following: File/View/Tool/Help
Click on File - all I get is 'Exit'
Click on View - option of Melody/Picture/Camera - so clicked on picture and got similar message to above but with the no. 1978658172port
Click on Tool - just get the option to Connect
Click on Help - all you get is a very simple guide to uploading your photos from phone to pc.
All the pictures are JPEG Image and the directory reads as follows:
C:\Program Files\LGGSM\LGContentsBank\Contents\Upload\
Does any of the above help?
Thanks again.
