URGENT Ipod lead question!

Hello,
I have an old IPOD mini and want to borrow a usb cable from someone at work, they have an IPOD touch, i'm not sure but i think the bit that fits into the ipod looks a bit smaller than mine, does anyone know if it's compatible? I don't have my ipod on me so am not sure....
