Revoked license for not returning documents
I recently got 3 points on my license and was aksed to send my Photocard license and counterpart license to the DVLA. I did this but it was returned as I hadn't returned the most recent counterpart license. I was supposed to send it back with the correct counterpart license. I thought I had but the letter didnt get posted ( an honest mistake) and I got another letter through saying that as I hadn't returned it they "must ask me for it again" and that my license was being revoked.
They said they'd send me an ammended one as soon as possible.and then goes on to say I can still drive for a maximum period of 12 months despite it being surrendered or revoked!
So what I'd like to know is - is it a case that they'll just send me a new license with the 3 points attached to the correct counterpart or is there something more sinister heading my way. Is this a "temporary revoke" - Surely they cant expect me to retake my test just because i forgot to send in my documents?
Any response much appreciated.
