Slave Phone Socket Activation

I have a fairly new property which has phone sockets in every room. However i can only get the master socket working. The wiring is all there inside the other slave sockets so i presume they just need activating at the master socket. Does anybody know how to do this?

Hi Jim.........I've never heard of this before............they're simply all connected to the master................sounds like the wiring needs checking :o(
