..............just a guess................with my very limited knowledge of coding..........it would seem that if you introduce a "null string"............a kind of "empty letter" into your name or answer...............the software can't handle it...................so..............zapppp

Not exactly The Builder, although anybody with a smidgin of SQL Server will be able to see what is probably going on. Most people have fortunately (me too) been reticent about mentioning it. Allowing NULL values in that column should fix it, but not the best solution. The input procedures on AB have always been a bit flaky.
...........sorry 4get.............I was just guessing at the cause.......not the way to stop it.......................if I'm right, there are only a handful of people on here with the knowledge to be able to do this kind of thing.......................I certainly don't know how.............the solution lies with AB..........they have access to the software............
as I sais, there is nowt we can do. let the AB Ed and IT dept sort it out. so pitch up your tents and get the camp fires going as it could be a long wait
