when i copy music from cd it plays the track and copies really slow, any ideas

There may be an option of Play whilst Copying somewhere in the Media Player, just untick the box. There is on the Real One PLayer which I find far more user friendly than WMP.

thanks for replying. there is no option for play. It is when I start a copy and the music plays automatically. but usually you can press stop to stop playing, also the copy take the same time as it does to listen to the whole track. its really annoying and has only just started happening. it might be since i got iTunes (downloaded so I can play aac files). the tracks that ive copied since are also really quiet. I might just uninstall and reinstall wmp when i get time.

It maybe that your coverting at a very high bit rate which takes longer.
