I just forked out nearly 100 for one of those Kodak Printers which are advertised to save you a fortune on ink replacement cartridges. On the screen it gives a diag of how much ink is left. Yesterday the black was half full and the colour almost full. On logging on today both cartridges are depicted empty. Is it a fault with the Kodak software and what can I do about it as it won't let me print anything?

Have you tried clicking on "cancel print" and then printing again from scratch? This works with my printer. You could also take out the cartridges and reinsert them and see if it recognises that they are not empty.

Check out ebay and/or others selling compatible cartridges, at prices considerably less than the genuine article.

You will save yourself a small fortune by doing this.

I have got my proper ink levels back. The problem seemed to be trying to download and update the Kodak software which wiped out my previous settings. Thanks.

The Kodak cartridges are very cheap so if they contain the same amount of ink as other brands and last as well it should be cheaper than the HP printer I had before. I hope so because to my mind its a rip off. Even before my last printer that contained in excess of 40 ml now rthe latest versions you are lucky to get into double figures.
