I got a music/voiceover disk produced in a studio and want to dowload it to my computer and rename the tracks. I'm sure I used to be able to do this yonks ago, but don't know now. Can't afford more studio time, so need to copy this stuff myself.
Tried bringing it into media sound editor, but says it's not a wav file. Properties says 'Audio CD' and CDFS for file system. The tracks are 'CD Audio Track'.
It would help if you said what kind of computer you are using.
If it's a PC running XP or Vista, just rip the files with Windows Media Player:
Run Media Player
Click Tools
Click The Rip Music tab
Select where you want the files to go (Rip to this location)
Select Wav (lossless) as the format
Click OK
Click Rip on the tool bar
Insert the CD and wait while the files are extracted
Voila!
