Pet Tracking GPS
6 Answers
My cat goes walkabouts, He has come home tonight after 15 days away, He goes across the fields rabbiting as every time he comes home he is fill of fleas a front line him every 4 to 6 weeks and he is also wormed. he hates the car that much that i had to phone the vets to get a sedative to give him so that i could get him microchipped , and he is now chipped, I would like to know if anyone has had ther cat or dog tracked, i have been in touch with a company in london (pawtrack) and am strongly thinking about it, can anyone give me any information on how well tracking works.
i feel scooby is worth the money and would just love to know where he goes.
thanks

Good to hear of a cat able to do cat things, not like those kept locked indoors all their life.
As for tracking equipment, I would have thought it would be very expensive and very cumbersome for the cat to wear. Plus you would need to know what area to look in.

But the signal is sent out by satelite, it is very light the same as what a falconer would have for his birds, and i could then track it through my pc, i do not want to interfere with him in anyway but i would be able to see exactly where he is so if he was gone for say 3 weeks i would be able to go across the fields to just check that he was ok, even though i would love him to come home of a night this is his choice to stay out but i would still would like to know if either he has been hit by a car along the main road or just rabbiting...... i would just like to know if anyone has used tracking devices

Think you mean something like this:

At 71g it would probably be too heavy for a cat though (which is why they specify for use in dogs).
This one costs 9.99 per month or 99 pounds for a year, which is a rather expensive way of finding out where your cat goes.
