MS Publisher not supported in Nero?
6 Answers
I want to create a DVD cover using Nero, but when I try to import the created file from MS Publisher, it says the file format is not supported. How can I change this? Does it need a driver or software? Or perhaps I need to put a check against a box somewhere in Nero? Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Go to File > Save as
Choose a suitable name for your file. (It's best to change it from the existing one, so that you'll know which file is which. So, if your existing file is 'DVDCover', just choose something like 'DVDCover2').
Click the little arrow head next to the 'Save as type' box and scroll down until you get to 'Jpeg File Interchange Format'. Accept this option and click Save.
Then create your cover using the file DVDCover2, instead of DVDCover.

There's something very weird with your version of Publisher if it won't let you save a file as a jpeg.
Are you sure you've used the scroll bar?
When you go to 'Save as' and click the little arrow next to the 'Save as type' box, you'll only see 6 file types offered. (None of which are 'Jpeg'). You need to drag the scroll bar down (on the right) to see the rest of the list. (If you've really not got 'Jpeg' listed there, try 'Windows Bitmap'. It will give you a massive file size but Nero should still recognise it).

you could try copy and paste from pub to nero
select all ... copy ... switch to nerp and paste into cover designer
it's one of the windows facilities
alternatively ... display the cover full size
press PrntScrn
open a photo editor - paint will do
paste the screenshot .... crop the screen
save as jpg
import .... done!
