DCP-117C driver Vista

I have downloaded DCP-117C printer/scanner driver for Vista. My driver detective shows that it is now on the hard drive but I can't actually find it to instal it . How should I proceed? Thanks in anticipation!!

I've noticed a lot of my downloads go into a 'temporary' file, in Systems, which I hate messing with. Download again and watch for where it's filed.....safest.

two things to do

first ditch driver detective

automatic update will look after Vista - and if you google brother or dcp-117c
you'll find the brother support site without any problem
you acan be pretty certain that the brother site is kosher and up-to-date
you have no idea where driver detective gets it's files

looking at the brother supplied file you must (may?) have downloaded - it's a self installing package - just double click the file and keep answering OK - it will do the rest.
