pc performance

my pc is really slow, however its only 3 months old, has a good spec and has plently of memory on it. i presume theres something somewhere thats full up that ineed to check but i dont have a clue what. does anyone have any tips on how to improve the performance of a pc

How many icons do you have in the bar in the bottom right of your screen, cause if you have loads then all of them take up valuable memory esp if you have MSN, Yahoo, Office and such like when you start your machine up, you will need to disable them at start up so it free's up your memory, also in the control panel goto Internet options and delete all the Browsing History, Temp internet files and cookies....
