Hi, had my first duel fuel bill for this new place, apparently it is the electric i have used since may, It is 188.39 for 19.57 weeks electric, and the gas is from July, so 48.21 for 12.57 weeks gas,

This is for a large 3 bed house, where we have the hot water on for an hour 3 times a day, 5 TVs, 1 sky box, 1 skyplus box, various games consols, (but not an XBox 360) we use the oven every day, the washing machine every day, a freezer and various other electrical stuff, plus 2 computers and my laptop.
So, that has worked out at 9.62 per week for electric and 3.83 per week for the gas.

Does this sound quite reasonable? My old house was massive and burnt fuel like it was free!!! So i am chuffed to bits, just as i tore open the envelope tonight I said out loud, 'please let it be less than 300!!'

Oh yes they do, my toungest son has one and it eats electric it's like a heavy duty computer!!!!!! He's moved now and lives with my daughter and she is on a pre-payment meter in her rented house and she knows the difference now!!!!
Mmmmm..does anyone know of a website that gives average consumption of household electricals??......i would be curious to know what my lappy uses.....among other things..
My electric monthly direct debit is ridiculously high , as is my gas , daylight robbery I tell you !!!
We are on a prepayment meter and have two PC's an xbox 360,two old xboxes and the various TV's etc.We only use around 8.00 to 10.00 per week and the 360 is on almost all evening (every day) and all day at weekends.I wouldn't have said they use that much electricity really.
