I tried to download microsoft word 2000 but while it was downloading a message popped up and said,

"Error 1305. Error reading from file: D:\System\RDOCURS.DLL. Verify that the file exist and that you can access it."

When I go to start, run and/or search I can find the file but that is all. i cant do anything else. What does that mean and what can I do so that I can finish downloading MS Word 2000?

Microsoft Office 2000?!

The latest version is Office 2007, so I'm sure you can't download Office 2000 from Microsoft. Presumably you were trying to download a pirate copy from an illegal website, so it's hardly surprising you got an error.

If you want Microsoft Office 2007 you can buy a student version for 35.45 at:

If you don't want to pay, download Open Office 2008 from:

The copy I am trying to download is not a pirated copy. I bought it a couple of years ago from either best buy or wal mart. I cant remember which because I go to both. But I did buy the disc leagally. When I bought it, it was for another comp. but now I have a new one and the new one is the one that said error.
Did you buy a disc or did you buy a downloadable version?

If you bought a disc, then use the disc.

If you bought a downloadable copy, then how can you download it if you don't even know which website you bought it from?
