Itunes/Ipod....

Ok so I've got my Ipod up and running and got loads of proper tracks on it from the 70's and 80's. Last night I loaded an album but then the fun started. You see I wanted to have the songs stored in the same order as they are on the CD. Ah I here you screem, Join them! Yes I joined them and great but how do I now listen to individual tracks if I want to? I stored the album as a play list and I can jig it around but what I'd really like is some way of selecting an album in both ipod and tunes and have all the original tracks in the order they are on the CD. I have RTFM'd to no avail, help, thanks
