supermarket notebook is it good value?

my local supermarket is selling aspirion notebooks for less than 200. Pound. I was wandering if any of you had one. Not much memory, but its a nice compact size. I was goin too buy compact dvd player but thought this is beter value?

Do you mean the Acer Aspire One ?

This is one of the new netbooks that have a very small screen (8" or so)

Note that some of these netbooks dont run Windows but a different operating system called Linux.

This may be an issue if you were expecting Windows to be on the machine.

A quick search show they sell for around �200 (give or take).

Price depends on the spec so you would need to tell us the spec of the machine to tell if it was a good price or not.

First, an Inspiron would not be �200.

Second, appender asked about aspirion which is almost an exact spelling of Aspire One

Third, he says it is a nice compact size (not laptop size).

Hi ddaisy992, I recently bought an Aspire notebook for a Christmas present and it was only �179 from my local Tesco Extra store. Its a nice looking little thing and will be ideal for the recipient as she is at college and doesn't like carting her laptop around with her.
