I had installed XP Service Pack 2 (and thankfully uninstalled it) because it will not allow me to delete any files once installed! Anybody know why?

You don't mention if you are using "Home" or "Pro" version. I have ben using service pack 2 for over a month now with no problems at all! Are you using a profile to log onto XP? If so the settings may not be at "administrator" level and therefore prevent you from file deletion. Any other ideas out there?
