Hi, I am moving into a double bedroom at the back of my house from a single front bedroom, I wish to know what I need to do to move my telephone socket and I have a sky digi box which I need to move, has any body got ideas. I am a pensioner so I cannot afford to get some one in to do it. thankyou

you can extend the cables (extension cables can be bought for the phone --- the sky can be extended by buying a coil of aerial wire from B&Q with a male and female end connector (they'll help with what to get)
but you'll need to do a propper job - to have wires trailing all round the hall and stairs isn't a good idea!
running cable round skirtings isn't hard (again b&q - or any local hardware shop will kit you out with clips) - it just takes time - and it's hard on the knees (gel knee pads are cheap - and worth every penny
round the skirting - up round the doors ....
