norton uninstall

PLEASE could you help with uninstall Norton, I want to
get rid of it and have tried to remove but says failed after a few seconds, I have windows XP packard bell laptop.

I have before you know it 3.5 lite which won't remove comes up with installshield R set up launcher encountered a problem and needs to close. I think this was a language download I want to get rid of it any suggestions Many Thanks
