where the hell has my css coding gone wrong

Hi

I seem to have gone a bit wrong with my css coding. If you scroll to the bottom you will see the main section carries on under the footer section. i am not sure why it suddenly is putting a little bit of light green after the footer.

plus also on the contact page it will no longer allow me to make the leftcol wider to spread across the page.

It did work before but then i had to reformat my machine and it seems it did not backup these files so i have had to start again almost and cannot get it to work this time.

can anyone see what i have done wrong in either instance.

as per another question - it's a comercial site -
and given the quoted credits - nor a two bit operation - which means your fee won't be inconsequential either

If you've bitten off more than you can handle (which seems to be the case - pay for someone to sort it - it's not appropriate for you to use a site like this as a knowledge base to promote your business.

wouldn't be so bad if it was one question -- but you are querying every other line of code.

... be that as it may, the site works fine in FF, so you might want to Google for misplaced footers in IE.

2ndly troll... there is no need to slag off someones screenname what is the point of that. I did have ti workin and had an issue with my machine and now it seems to have gone a bit wrong. secondly it is actually my company. not sure quite what your issue is. this is an answer site where you put stuff up to ask for help and nowledge, if you dont have anythin better to do then to slag people and stuff off then dont bother coming onto the site i think

yes this is a help site - but it's not a commercial concern - if donald trump wanted help to fix his lappy - no problem
if he wants advice on configuring his business machines .... I want paying for the advice ....

you are building your own site to promote what looks to be a relatively lucrative concern .... (you should perhaps consider adding scrooge to your credits!)

I don't think it's appropriate for you to ask for IT support here when you should pay for a real consult (I never have)

troll... i thought you were saying my name was molly whatever.. not referring to the maverock part.. so i take it back i thought you were slagging off it off now you have explained i see i misread it.. so i take it back.

i do design websites as well, but used to do it in the old format of css so i was trying to build it that way. i will refran from askin any questions in here in future.

maybe you did not mean it to come across as rude, but to someone else reading it it appeared so, plus i never called you a slag?? slagging off is a different term, so no i was not dissing your name or you.

not sure what the 2ndly was doing there... so again sorry for that part.

lets just draw a line here and say that both misinteruppted what the other has said and use this site approiately.. i will nto use it to ask for any help on somethin small, and others maybe to think about how somethin can be interupped as rude.

I don't have a problem with that - or you - everyone does (and should) ask questions - just .... well I said what I thought.

and that doesn't and wasn't meaning NO questions - I don't decide (or want to) who gets to play.
I know how misleading written words are - it's what makes them fun
