Internet Explorer and Mozilla
Hi,
I usually use Mozilla, but recently I've found it to be very slow, (probably my computer!!) So I've started using Internet Explorer, everythings been fine - until today.
When I open IE and then type an address another page opens but this one is with Mozilla. So I end up having my 'home' page, which is with IE, but anything I try and search opens with a Mozilla page, hope this makes sense!!! And because my computer seems to dislike Mozilla at the moment, I'm lucky if it even 'finds' what I'm looking for!!
Does any one know why this is doing this?
And if so, how to rctify it?
All help gratefully recieved x

Thanks for that advice. I've just done that and now I've got a box come up that says,
'Firefox is already running, but is not responding. To open a new window, you must first close existing Firefox process, or restart your sysyem.' (this has happened loads of times!)
Also have another box which says,
'Windows cannot find '(null)'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. To search for a file, click the Start button, and then click Search.' (had this before too!)
I've tried 3-4 times to get a page to load, (other than my home page) but as soon as I click 'go' I get these boxes!!

Okay, so I've ended the Firefox processes.
The same thing is still happening, I type an address into IE and a Mozilla page opens upand starts looking for the requested page!!!
I clicked on IE, I got my home page, I then typed in ABs address. Mozilla then opens up and gives me ABs page!!! I still don't know why this is happening!!!! I didn't click on Mozilla - maybe I should get rid of it!!!

I can't begin to imagine mechanism by which typing into the IE address bar would invoke FF - even if FF was your default browser.
I suggest you uninstall FF. You can always re-install it later.
I'm very curious as to what effect uninstalling FF will have in these circumstances.
Don't forget to check that the FF process is not running before attempting to uninstall it.
