Quark and Photoshop

On a MAC, I'm able to double click on a photo in Quark and have it come up automatically in Photoshop. Can I do the same with a PC?

Yes, it is called file extension association. You can force pictures (with file extensions such as .jpg and .bmp) to open with Photoshop even if they are imbedded in another application (such as Quark or Word).
I apologise for the fact that this is not a very construcive answer, but if you have access to a Mac, why on earth use a PC?
