History folder

Quite often when I try to empty my history folder (through tools-internet options-clear history). I won't clear. It doesn't happen every time. Any ideas?

Use a "cleaner" program that overwrites and destroys all data in the folder you request. The reason your history folder is not emptied when you ask could be a trojan or virus somewhere on your system

I've just tried it on mine and it wouldn't clear it. My Days to Keep Pages in History was set at 0. When I changed this to 1 and then clicked clear history it worked fine.

I use Ontrack Internet Cleanup(free with a PC mag so you should be able to download it somewhere) and it works fine.
