Garrard Turntable & Tone-arm

I have an old Dynatron with a Garrard deck incorporated. I was fiddling with the stylus/cartridge wondering whether it needed changing before playing 78s & have removed the cartridge. I also knocked one of the 4 wires off its connection - the white one. It is very fiddly trying to get it back onto its connector. Is there any way to remove the tone-arm to make this more accessible? Many thanks.

I can also recommend the UK vintage radio forum - there are lots of us there who can help with this sort of thing.

You will need to change the cartridge if it is the original mono one with turnover knob at the front, as you will wreck stereo records on it. a cart like a BSR SC12H wired for mono will be a cheap and effective replacement.
don't forget to alter the tracking weight after replacement!
