A few tricky general knowledge questions here
5 Answers
These are for a local church charity quiz, so any help will be appreciated with these six questions. I've managed the other 174 questions!!!!
1) Which two words mean the point at which water vapour starts to condense? Is it DEW POINT?
2) Which Ministry was responsible for conducting wars in Orwell's 1984?
3) Costing 750 million in 1999 what was given away to a US company in 2002?
4) How many women attended the 1886 unveiling of the Statue of Liberty?
5) What month is it in Australia when it is January in the UK? Possible trick question or an error I think - I know the time difference between Australia and UK and February would be the answer if the question was "the last hours of January"
6) Who was the first new Archbishop of Canterbury of the 21st Century? Should this be George Carey who was in this position at the end of the century through to 2003, or should it be Rowan Williams who was appointed in 2003?
I'd be ever so grateful for any help!!
