Where I live, people HATE them so much but really they're just pretty wild rats with bushy tails.
Would you put a guinea pig in a pie?
They taste lovely.
They have a mild gamey flavour and I've had squirrel stir fried and in a pie.

You can of course trap and eat squirrels but guttng and skinning them isn't everyones cup of tea
