USB advice please
1 Answers
This device cannot start. (Code 10)
I am trying to connect a new mp3 player to my pc but i keep getting the above code - when I check the device in device manager it appears with an exclamation mark inside a yellow symbol. I know this means there is an error, but I've managed to set one player up & a web cam (with difficulty on the web cam). I've tried a different USB port to no avail, also gone through the troubleshooter etc.
Can anyone advise on what may be wrong? Any advice helpful ps the PC is approx 6 mths old/second hand from a trusted source.
TIA

Code 10 errors on USB devices generally means that windows cannot find the correct drivers.
If you've got an 'install' CD with the MP3 player, run it and install them. If not, find the manufacturers website and download the drivers from there and install them. Make sure you get the correct O/S though.
