Buy an Archos, for the same price as the Sony you wouldn't even have to get the base model and with video capability it's going to kick the Sony or iPod.

but the archos looks like sh1t ! the ipod is a stylish but of kit but could well be rivalled by the sony....time will tell. the trouble with apple is that they set trends but then dont take their ideas forward so the competition catch up and pass them hence the recent shift to fashion accessory stylee players !

I haven't seen an Archos but when thinking about the sony it has superior battery life (one of sony's strongpoints in everything) and it is very good quality...of course u pay for this... as far as i know sony will have video capability and they have decided to stop putting copyguards on their cds and will be embracing MP3 format as well... and they are buying up rights for movies etc at a frantic pace.... So they have the gear and the content....
