PC scams and viruses

Hello Ed, I'm wondering if it might be practicable to have a section, perhaps under Technology > internet, where ABers could post their own personal experiences of scam emails and PC viruses. I emphasise 'their own personal experiences' as there are other websites dealing with that sort of thing. Having a PC may be new to many people and reading about other people's experiences could help them to avoid pitfalls. Regards, Coldicote

Hi Coldicote, sounds like a good idea & you're probably already aware, but to any newcomers - if you click on Technology, there is a drop down menu showing, Computers, Electronics & Internet.

Maybe one of those would be suitable for sharing experiences, etc.

Yes, thank you Smudge. It probably could come under Internet, but I'm hoping there might be a scams and viruses section or sub-section to provide a ready reference. Most postings on AB seem to get lost fairly quickly with time and it can be difficult to find them. I can only hope that Ed will be considering the possibility - must wait and see.
