I need to free up disk space on my HP laptop....Help!

Among the programs that came with it are a number of ROXIO including ROXIO player engine,creator..etc-9 in total. I have never used this...do I need it??? I have read that it is not needed it there is windows media installed.

Also-I recently installed Java 6 update11....but I still have java SE Runtime Environment 6...installed in 2006..do I need this??
If I do a disk clean-which I understand will get rid of temp files....how do I know what files are going?

Install and run CCleaner http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/ to get rid of all temp files.

Then save all your photos and videos to DVD and erase the master files from the PC.

Program files are usually quite small, but you will be able to get rid of some that are pointless. Just Google the name and see if they are important.
