I tunes play list

While trying to burn a cd using I tunes the message 'Initialising' comes up, but then the cd is ejected and message 'Error code 2131' comes up. Tried google and that leads to Regcure Fix. Have registered with them, at �25, but their fix has not worked.
Any suggestions? Thanks for any help.

Do you live near an Apple store?? If so I would go in there, or any other store that sells i pods may be able to shed some light.

Perhaps a few more details might help someone to help you:-

(i) Make + Model of Optical Drive
(ii) Make/Type of CDs you are using
(iii) Version of Operating System
(iv) Itunes Version
(v) Have you burned CD's successfully in the past using itunes?
(vi) Have you tried any other burning software? What happens if you do?

most stuff seems to point to a firmware update on your burner will sort it.

but as Sputnik says more info would help.

I put the question up on behalf of a workmate. It turned out to be a Toshiba laptop and when we tried Google with the make and error code we found loads of similar queries. The Toshiba site has a Firmware update and it solved the problem.
