Remote light switching

I want to switch a low-voltage circuit on/off (no dimming required) remotely. The voltage is about 6v, and is used to supply a small video camera for bird watching, and I should like to be able to switch it from about 5m away using a push-button controller. Any ideas, anyone?

Can you have a cable connection?If so fairly easy,with a relay.if not perhaps using a model radio control and a servo? More information needed to answer more helpfully.
