How can I save my photo's on my laptop when my disc drive is broken?
Hello
My Toshiba laptop is on its way out !! It still works (well sometimes), apparently it is fluid damage and many to repair. My only concern is how to save my photo's to a disk, the disk drive has stopped working!!! Can I buy a mobile disk drive ? Will look to buy another laptop in a couple of months. Any guidance appreciated, Thank You.

If you mean your cd/dvd drive has stopped working you have several options.
You can buy a flash drive like this 8gb:
http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/4-/7113791/Imation- Nano-8GB-USB-2-0-Flash-Drive/Product.html?cm_m mc=Froogle-_-PC-_-Flash+Drives-_-Imation%2BNan o%2B8GB%2BUSB%2B2.0%2BFlash%2BDrive&source=506 6&engine=froogle_pc&keyword=Imation+Nano+8GB+U SB+2.0+Flash+Drive
Or an external hard drive like this 160gb
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Western-Digital-Passpo rt-Essential-Portable/dp/B0013NE4S2/ref=sr_1_9 ?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1232968345&sr=1-9
Or an external dvd drive:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/DVD940e-DVD%C2%B1RW-Ex ternal-USB2-0-Lightscribe/dp/B000JFXSJ6/ref=sr _1_3?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1232968412&sr=1 -3
If you shop around you find different ones at different prices.
You can also upload your photos to a photo storage site such as photobucket or flickr - both are free.

as AC said if the hard drive has failed then you've had it...
if the drive is still OK then get an external USB enclosure for a laptop hard drive (like one below) remove drive from laptop and put into caddy, you can then get all your pictures off it and your left with a handy external USB hard drive at the end of it too.
