Dabs is technically correct. but the first apple mac, which is the beginning of apple (and pretty much computers) as we know them now was 1984

The Apple 1 was a very basic system that Steve Wozniak built while attending the Homebrew Computer Club, and Steve Jobs thought they could sell it (they could).

The Apple 2 came out and was part of the revolution, making it much easier to use, etc.

Apple Lisa had many new ideas in it, and this was extended much further with the first Macintosh.
