Itunes

Firther to my previous question, I thought about this and remembering smething I had read on this site, went to C, drive and itunes there. Put back everything to external drive and have regained disc space. However, I cannot open itunes at all. Again, having read here about mediamonkey.com, I installed that yesterday and tidied up music. Would this affect itunes? Do I have to reinstall this? Methinks I have been going too fast for my own good and my amateur status with pc!!!
