no sound on my pc

hey :) ok about a year ago i lost the sound on my pc and then it came back,after about a week or so it went again,i'm not really up on the world of computers and only no the very basics lol anyway i went to trubble shoot and opend up the device manager i went to other devices and there is a yellow thing next to it so i clicked on it and it says unknown device i pressed reinstall driver but i wouldnt work and to be honest i'm not to sure its right thing can anyone help ?

you could try this
go to device manager again but this time go online to update your driver

The problem is, if it says "unknown device" then Windows is not going to be able to update the driver,as it has no idea what kind of driver it's looking for.

You might find that if you instead choose Uninstall, the next time you start the machine it will re-identify the device.

right i uninstalled the device but still no sound from the speakers in the monitor,so i plugged my other speakers in and i now have sound BUT it's really low :( and the volume is up high
