Can I extract files in subfolders into the main folder?

What I mean is if I have a folder, say for example called Music and in that folder I have a folders called Albums and within that folder I have 3 folders called A, B and C. Within A, B and C I have 10 files in each. Is there any handy way that I can just have the 30 files show up when I open the main folder ie Music without having to do a lot of cutting and pasting?

It's not really 'a lot' of cutting and pasting.

Display Folder A. Click > Edit > Select All.
Right-click on any file.
Select 'Copy' (or 'Cut' if you don't want to leave the files in Folder A).
Click the 'Up' arrow, to take you to 'Albums'.
Right-click anywhere within the folder and select Paste

Then double-click on Folder B and repeat, etc.

The whole thing should only take a few seconds.

Is there any way to view all the files in the main folder's subfolders just when I want to, but to keep all the folders as they are now once I'm finished viewing the files, like they are now? I think I'm terrible at explaining stuff.

You're a good deal better at explaining your question than the majority of people who post on this site! ;-)

To the best of my knowledge, no version of Windows Explorer has an option to toggle on-and-off a display of the contents of sub-folders, within the host folder itself. Some third party utilities (which provide alternatives to Windows Explorer) might have an 'include subfolders' option but I've been unable to track down any such utility for you.

Your best option might be to create a new folder, somewhere on your computer, called (for example) 'Unsorted'. Then, repeatedly using 'select all' (as explained above) copy the contents of A, B, C, etc to that folder. Then you can choose whether to access 'Albums' (with its subfolders) or 'Unsorted', depending upon your needs. (Of course, having two copies of everything will mean that your files will take up twice as much disk space but, with the massive sizes of hard drives these days, that might not be a problem).

one other way would be to create "custom" views of all the folders involved

these both have tabs or favourites

it is very simple you can create a mnay sub folders in the folders . you may also create the sub folders in the sub folers to.

if you want to move the data from the sub folder you can move it just by doing cut or copy the data and paste any where in the computer. your rest of data will safe in the folder .
so you can transfer your 10 files in the computer .

you can also use the folder move by right click on the folder and select the move tab where you want.
