Starting a warm two stroke engine

My (good quality and fairly new) chainsaw is easy to start from cold but after half an hour's use becomes much more temperamental and sometimes totally refuses to fire up. Any tips?

Stab in the dark here Mike but it sounds as though the petrol mixture might be evaporating before it gets chance to ignite because of the surrounding temperature of the hot machine. Have you tried re-using the choke when this happens?
