its not as good as some like norton - the XP firewall only looks at incoming traffic and not outgoing. Still, its better than nothing. And, to be honest, is has picked up on something dodgy that my norton 2005 firewall didnt. For that reason, im keeping it!

Ive turned it off and now use Sygate. I found some apps that could not talk to the internet if MS Firewall was running.

yeh dont use the sp firewall.in my opinion,hackers will be trying their hardest to get thru that.use another one such as sygate or zonelabs both of which are free dl's.

i also use sygate as zonelabs caused problems with dl's
