cowon d2 mp3 player..loading from computer

after loading onl 23 albums on my mp3 player (16gb) from my computer. the computer shows that the drive is full. the mp3 player takes 5000 tracks so is not full. how do I overcome this problem...thanks

What bitrate have you ripped the tracks in?

5000 tracks is a bit optimistic, but you should get between 3-4000 if they are ripped in 128bit, if they are long albums/tracks and you've ripped them in 320bit then it could well be full at about 1000 tracks.
Could it be that you have put the uncompressed WAV versions of the tracks on rather than MP3? Each WAV album could be about 700 MB depend on how full the original CDs are, and so would fill the 16GB with approx. 23 albums that you mention.
