My son has an LG 110-L Notebook. He got it through Vodaphone, running internet anytime on a monthly tarriff.
Stupid sod, didn't pay his bill so has now had his contract terminated. (Yes, dad, me had to pay the bill)
I can get the notebook to connect to my home wireless network, the connection is shown as excellent, but i can't get any web sites such as google or amazon to display on the screen. Internet Explorer is on the screen, but the message "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" repeatedly appears.

Anyone got any ideas...??

Many thanks, bererunner

sounds like no internet

does the connect indicator light up?
Surely if it was got through a deal with vodafone and the contract was canceled due to non payment of bill before it had run it's full term then the laptop isn't actually yours?

anyhow.... normally the problem your having is because of an incorrect network security key being entered when connecting to the network (XP tends to still say it's connected OK but the connection won't actually work at all)
