Scanner Problem

I have a Mustek P3600 A3PRO Scanner. When I scan a document, it appears on my computer with half of the page having a yellow strip on it. You can just read the writing underneath. I assumed that this was a "preview" phenomena but I recently had to scan and send a document to my husband when he was away and he told me that the scanned document has this yellow strip on it at the other end too. Any ideas as to what I might be doing wrong? It is still under warranty so is it best to send it back??

have you sized the document to fit A4

Well, I placed the doc onto the screen in the A4 place.

It sound hardware problem of scanner.
I would suggest you just replace it.
