Has anyone had problems with their gas and electric prices?
10 Answers
My supplier is saying I have to pay 180 a month for electric and 110 for gas. I am a single parent just living in a 3 bedroom house and have cut down using the tumble dryer and everything I can really yet they are saying if I don't pay this, they will cut my supply off. I am going to be left with nothing if I pay this. Has anyone else been in a similar situation and what did you do ? Thanks x

It sounds excessive in the extreme. I live in a 3-bedroom maisonette...not huge, and I have paid aprox 60 for gas and 45 for elec over the winter...and that is with card/key meters which always cost more, but allow me to keep an eye on what I am spending. I still think it costs too much.

I'd get the meters checked out. When was your meter last read? Have you had a lot of estimated bills?
I know there is a gadget you can buy that tests how much each electrical appliance uses and I think there is a website where you check the average usuage of certain items but not sure what it is called. Maybe someone technical would know.
We have a 4 bedroomed house and the amount you pay is about what we pay for 6 months and in the winter I have the heating on as I have 2 small children and I do use the tumble dryer quite a lot
