Viewing folder contents in Windows Explorer
In Windows explorer (running on Windows XP) I prefer the list or details view of folder contents rather than the icon/thumbnail/tiles view. Is there a way of ensuring that I ALWAYS have a list or details view?
Thanks in advance.

Set up the window as you want it to look.
Go to Tools>Folder Options and click the View tab.
Click 'Apply to All Folders'.
Click 'Yes'.
You can only set all the folders to one option, ie, List OR Details, but this will ensure that every folder will replicate your original...hence the reason to set it up as you want it to look first.
Regards.
