Disappearing wallpaper on Windows XP desktop

Recently when chaging the desktop background on my computer, it changes for a few minutes and then suddenly disappears. Also it seems to have con-incided with a permanently displayed message in the bottom-left hand corner of the screen from Microsfit telling me that the copy of windows may be counterfeit, which I can't seem to get rid of.

Can anyone tell me how to fix this?

yoiur pirate copy has updated and evry time you reboot it will go to a black screen.

unless you can get another copy with a licence code or buy a copy of windows with a code on ebay for about 40 quid.


all my copies are legal but there are many that arent out there when you buy a pc if its got windows installed but no sticker with a hologram and code it will be pirate
