Is it possible to unlock a mobile broadband dongle like one can with a phone, I have a Spanish Vodafone one and want to bring it to England but would like a cheaper rate once there.

im no expert neti but at 30 quid to buy a brit paygthen just pay seems a lot cheaper.

and far less hassle .

how long u goin to uk for ?
It is not easy to buy just a 3G sim card either.

You could buy a UK dongle from 15 on a pay as you go basis, and either keep it for future visits to the UK, sell it or give it away when you go home.

Guess I'll have to get the cheapest one over there then. I'm only going for 2 weeks in August and haven't bought a laptop but as soon as I do I want to be up and running. Here I paid 59 inc 20 usage and it has to be refilled every 3minths or i l
lose it. I wonder if using the Spanish one over there would work out too expensive?

I will get one in England, daughter's last year cost me 325 for Toshiba Sat. Pro with European guarantee, so will aim for the same, although this one is Spanish and I am more used to using Spanish keyboard and progs but laptops here are (cheapest) 599. Here they won't install XP, so it'll have to be Vista although my daughter doesn't much like it. I expect it'll be ok anyway.
