can you use a mac screen with a pc laptop.

i do a lot of graphics and photo work but hate the way macs are set out, but with a pc you never see what really prints out, so i was wondering if a mac screen works with pc cos they have amazing screens.

Yes, the cinema displays will work fine.

They use DVI input (I think), but will probably soon start transitioning to displayport (and HDMI?) too.

However, just the screen alone won't help. They're just Sony displays I think, in a nice case.

What you really want is good color support and calibration. The Spyder calibrator will really help with this if you're doing serious or semi-serious work.

The thing that Mac OS X has over both Windows and Linux though is good colour profile support. Windows isn't too bad (especially if using Photoshop, which I believe comes with some of its own stuff), but Mac OS X has the edge.
