You've probably burnt a data CD with the MP3 files on it, you need to burn an audio CD which windows media player can do.

HI thanksfor answer,My laptop is VISTA and when using Media player in the top right corner when you see the record symbol it only show Data CD and does not change .I looked at another programme I ve got Cyberlink and it allows me to use Audio burn.Hey presto ok and cd is now playing.I remember when using XP i didn't have any problem recording so it must be the Vista that doesn't do what I want.THANKS.
I really should stop assuming everyone has XP :)

In vista it's even easier, just put a blank CD in the drive, wait a few seconds and select burn audio CD when the little window pops up.

Should be easy enough to follow the rest yourself.

Just click the little arrow, under burn, in media player and make sure it`s on audio and not data.
