I keep getting phone calls from an 0116 number - when I answer there is no-one there. Any ideas what sort of number this is please??

this is a Leicester phone code. probably computer generated sales call. register with telephone preference service to help stop unsolicited calls

Try putting the full number into Google you may get more information re its origins. Maybe other people have raised questions about it.

Thank you both for your answers. I am actually registered with the telephone preference agency which is why I was surprised to get these calls. Now you say Leicester I have a neighbour who has just gone into Leicester Hospital I wonder if he is trying to ring me??? I shall try the google idea and thanks again for help.

Put the full number in google and got a whole page of similar questions. Wonder how they dodge the telephone preference service. If you are interested enough to look the number is 01162293700. Thanks again
