Using a calculator!:-p

do you mean 137.4707+0.83=x miles??
137.4707+0.03=137.5007
137.5007+0.8+138.8007
x miles=138.3007

Surely its 1374707.83 ?
if you need to convert that big number for some reason use google and just type in "what is ***inches in feet?" for example.  But I don't really understand the question potato man has most logical answer!

Sounds to me like you're trying to work out a sum for expenses or something, from the readout in the car, which would therefore be: 137,470 miles, in one colour, with the little comma being supplied on the display (most cars offer this number of complete miles), and a little 7 on the right hand side in a colour all of its own? The total original mileage is therefore 137,470.7 miles. You add your 0.83 miles and you get:137,471.53 miles, but I would just round this down to 137,471.5 miles. Cheers.
